We believe artwork used in a corporate environment
often projects an image relevant to how that company
is perceived. In the case of using quality investment
art, it should be considered a corporate
asset. If the maintenance of the artwork is not given
the proper attention, the visual appreciation of the
image can be sacrificed and damage to the piece
can result in a drop in value. We believe artwork
should be maintained in the best possible condition. |
| A maintenance program or one time service can be set-up based on a company's
individual needs considering the type and value of artwork in their collection. This
includes the following services: |
* Inspection
of the artwork
* Pieces framed with glass or plexiglas cleaned and polished
* Paintings dusted and the frames cleaned
* Tapestries and fiber art exposed to the elements vacuumed
* Sculpture dusted and properly cleaned according to material
* Any artwork that is in need of repair can be assessed and will be given the
proper attention that is required |
| Artwork that has been owned by a company for over a length of time should be
periodically inspected. Atmospheric conditions can often affect the materials used in
the finished product. We recommend the following: |
* Artwork framed behind glass should be disassembled, examined, and the
glass and frame should be cleaned on all sides. New acid-free materials should be
used to replace the old ones.
* Paintings should be re-stretched and chemically cleaned if necessary.
* Tapestries and Fiber should be vacuumed and/or chemically cleaned, if needed.
* Sculpture should have the surfaces inspected and treated accordingly, if
needed. |
